The aim of Brayton Football Club is to provide high quality coaching and organised competitive football in the best possible facilities.
The Club was formed on 1 June 2006 by the amalgamation of two existing clubs, Brayton Wanderers and Brayton Juniors.
Although both clubs were previously entirely independent of each other (the Wanderers specialising in Mini-Football for Under 7s to Under 10s and the Juniors in Youth football at Under 11s upwards) both used the same publicly-owned pitches and changing facilities.
However, this arrangement naturally led to day-to-day facilities
co-ordination problems and also meant that there was no realistic possibility of gaining development funding to meet the projected growth in player numbers over the coming years.
In order to provide a seamless one-club progression from
Under 7 right through to adult football along with a management structure which would be acceptable to various football development funding bodies it was therefore agreed that remaining as two separate clubs was no longer a viable option. As such the two clubs combined forces to create a single and consequently much stronger and more resourceful organisation.
