INTRODUCTION
The Mini-Football Section exists to give youngsters aged ten and under the opportunity to play organised football. Our default setting is consequently that (within various practical and logistical limitations) we are always seeking to recruit new players.
No previous experience is necessary - we aim to turn non-players into footballers and existing players into better ones.
NOTE: Although current FA guidelines allow mixed football up to and including Under 11s, at present we do not have any female players. (No-one has asked!) This is almost certainly because there is a thriving female club in the village. Click here to visit the Brayton Belles FC website. Our mini-football activities take place at Foxhill Lane playing field, which is owned by Brayton Parish Council and hired to us on match and training days. It provides us with four pitches - one 50yd x 30yd and three 60yd x 40yd. Changing rooms are rented from the adjoining Brayton Community Centre.
UNDER 6s
In accordance with FA policy the Club does not run an Under 6s team. However we do hold a waiting list of youngsters with dates of birth between 1 Sep 03 and 31 Aug 04 who wish to join the 2010-11 Under 7s.
It is hoped that this squad will start training in April 2010. However, it is entirely dependent upon a couple of parents volunteering to run the team and attending an FA Level 1 Coaches course, which usually takes two weekends.
