YOUTH TEAMS

INTRODUCTION

 

The Youth Football Section exists to enable players aged eleven to eighteen to participate in organised competitive football and to receive developmental coaching towards the attainment of their maximum possible level should they eventually progress to the adult game. Our default setting is consequently that (within various practical and logistical limitations) we are always seeking to recruit new players.

 

No previous experience is necessary - we aim to turn non-players into footballers and existing players into better ones.

 

NOTE: Although current FA guidelines allow mixed football up to and including Under 11s, at present we do not have any female players. (No-one has asked!) This is almost certainly because there is a thriving female club in the village. Click here to visit the Brayton Belles FC website.

  

The Section plays its home matches at Brayton College. Pitch and goalframe sizes are in accordance with Football Association guidelines for each particular age group:

 

Under 11s to U14s: Youth-sized pitch with 7yd x 7ft goals

 

Under 15s and above: Adult-sized pitch with full size goals.
